At CRMC, our hope is that our new state of the art equipment, the first and only CT Scanner in Texas, allows Carrollton, TX and surrounding communities to be the leaders in heart health survival. But we didn’t stop there. We knew that if we really wanted to be leaders in heart attack prevention, we would need to take it a step further. This is why Carrollton Regional Medical Center is developing a preventive Cardiac Care Program to predict and prevent future heart attacks as well as cardiac and cerebral vascular problems which enables early clinical intervention. This program is headed by a Harvard trained Cardiologist who is passionate about CT angiography and prevention.
We believe it is critical for anyone who has a family history of heart disease or is at risk to get a preventative CT angiogram, because oftentimes, the first sign of a blocked artery is when you’re experiencing a heart attack. By getting a CT angiogram, you can identify early detection of heart disease by noninvasively detecting plaque in the walls of your arteries before an obstructive heart attack occurs. As of now, many insurance companies do not cover the cost for a preventative CT angiogram, this is why Carrollton Regional Medical Center made it a priority to be able to provide this service to our patients at a low cost.
